Research Interests: I am currently a Graduate Student in Museum Studies at KU. Currently I am working with Dr. Larry Martin on Longisquama insignis, a small Triassic archosaur that was discovered in Krgystan in 1969 by Alexander Sharov. The main features of this reptile were several dorsal appendages that were originally thought to be scales. Upon further examination, it appears that these features share several characteristics with feathers. My research has involved evaluation of these structures as well as the construction of two models of Longisquama.
