studies Fossil and Recent actinopterygians, especially teleosts. Her research interests lie in their Morphology, ontogeny, and phylogenetic relationships. Specifically, she studies the origin and evolution of teleostean fishes and their sister-group relationships.

Beth Rinaldi
teaches at UMKC, and collaborates with the KUVP division on fossil tooth histology. She developed the science of using daily lines on the outside of teeth to extract physiological data on the growth, behavior, and health of extinct organisms.
Zhonghe Zhou
Zhonghe Zhou
collaborates with the Vertebrate Paleontology division on fossil birds, and is best known for his work on Confusciusornis. He is the Director of the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Bejing. He is foremost authority on the Mesozoic birds from China.

teaches anatomy at Johnson County Community College. He is an expert on South American Mammals and Faunas.
