Interests
Joetta has been a resident of Lawrence since the early 1950's. She served as the secretary for the Snow Museum from 1988 through 2004. She also worked as Dr. Michener's personal secretary from 1963 to 1988. As evidenced from the many years of employment and her continuance with the Division after retirement, she thoroughly enjoys her work in and around the museum, and especially the company of the students. Some of her most rewarding times are when "her" former students return for visits. Joetta is busy, raising a grandson, and many cattle. Her busy after-school farm life doesn't give her many chances for relaxation, but when she can, she takes camping trips or goes fishing. She also enjoys quilting, raising pigeons and flower gardening.
