Microbasic b-mastigophors: A type of nematocyst that is defined by having a tubule with a shaft, but the demarcation between the shaft and the tubule is not strongly marked. The shaft is barbed, and does not show any funnel-shaped formation in unexploded capsules. The tubule and shaft are at most three times as long as the capsule.
